Kim Hatch Burse is the former revenue secretary for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She was assistant director of the Kentucky Development Finance Authority and treasurer of the Commonwealth Small Business Development Corporation before being named revenue secretary in Governor Jones' Cabinet in 1991. She is the first African-American woman in Kentucky history to be appointed to the state Cabinet.

Mrs. Burse is a licensed certified public accountant and a certified cash manager. She has also served as president and CEO of Louisville Development Bancorp, Inc. She earned her B.S. in accounting in 1976 and her M.B.A. in 1985, both from the University of Kentucky.
